Wonderful portrait of me by Jerry Merril. |
Here is a painting of me playing guitar created by artist Jerry Merrill, Rodman, NY. He painted it from a photo of me taken back in October while I was playing guitar at the Orion Art Gallery on Mullin St., Watertown, NY. Jerry revealed it to me and others at Orion Gallery during their Christmas Party on Dec. 14. I was very honored that Jerry took the time to paint me. I am also impressed with the result. I truly feel he captured my likeness. I was blown away by it. Jerry and I have been friends for quite a few years. I really got to know him when he took some guitar lessons with me. Jerry is quite a prolific painter and also a talented sculptor. Jerry Merrill shows photo his portrait of me during Orion Art Gallery Christmas party.
Orion Art Gallery Summer Festival promo piece.
I played guitar from 11:00- 1:00 today at the Orion Art Gallery as part of their Summer Arts Festival. I didn't get any photos of myself to post here. Later I gave our Clay St house a second coat of paint on the front porch floor. A few days ago on Wednesday I gave the floor the first coat of paint. I still need to paint the area in front of the stairwell door.

Painting the front steps, I take a selfie photo of my shadow. |
This is a shadow selfie I snapped of myself while painting the front steps of our home in Chaumont, NY. This was on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
Besides the steps, I had some other errands to do. I went to the Wine Seller and picked up a couple bottles of Sauviignon Blanc and, and a couple of Cabernet Sauvignon. 750mm bottles. the price came to $22.00 This purchase was in anticipation of my two sisters coming for a weekend visit.
I gave my Celebrity Brother a ride home after he dropped one of his cars off at a repair shop for a brake job. I also went o Hannaford Grocery store and bought 3 dozen eggs, size jumbo, at $4.39 each. Yikes! that is a lot to pay for a dozen eggs.
Normally on Tuesday mornings I have guitar lessons at the Copley House, however, I am taking the month of August off from that.
Abut 3 hours after painting the steps began to rain. It rained quite a bit the rest of the day, letting up or stopping briefly nw and then. It didn't appear to have an adverse effect of the paint job though.
