About this blog title

I cannot tell you how many times I have shown up at events with a couple of cameras around my neck, a gadget bag full of odds & ends and a lighting kit and have been asked that question. If it happened once every few years, that would be one thing. But it happens a LOT. It's like getting pulled over by the police and he's standing there with uniform, gun, flashing lights and asking him "Are you a cop?" I would love to come back with a witty reply, such as "No, I am Jesus. Don't you recognize my beard?" However, I cannot be that rude.

Sump Pump Discharge Pipe Repaired

Replaced leaky sump pump hose with PVC pipe.

Our sump pump was using flexible swimming pool pump hose for water discharge. This hose developed some leaks. Today I replaced that hose with 1 1/4 inch PCV pipe. The nature of the job was such that two sections of pipe would not line up correctly. Solution was to use my heat gun to warm up and soften a section of the PVC allowing me to bend it by hand into usable angle. It was important to get this done because soon the huge amount of snow we have will be melting and flooding our basement.

On another note ice sliding off our roof this morning took down my land line phone line, Called TDS Telecom. They be here tomorrow between 10 and 11:30 for repair.

Low temp overnight was 14 degrees. High was 34. Currently at 10:45 it's 20. Trail cam set up in basement Saturday night captured video of a bat flying. Camera was set up about 4 days ago and this was only clip I got. It was last week on Sunday evening when I encountered the other bat.

Walked 9,609 steps today.
